About Us

Company History:

About The Company... In 1925, George Robertson and his eldest son, Charles, opened their own landscaping firm offering a variety of services. The business grew rapidly and only two years later, they purchased a building at 8339 Germantown Avenue. Here, George’s daughter Janet first added fresh cut flowers to the business. Over the years the landscaping side of the business declined while the fresh flower division continued to thrive.

Through the depression years, the demand for fresh cut flowers grew and the family moved to a larger quarters in 1935 to 8341 Germantown Avenue.

In contrast to today’s taste customers in the 1920’s – 30’s preferred loose cut flowers in a box to arrange themselves. In 1949, with the passing of George, the family moved to their present location at 8501 Germantown Avenue in the Heart of Chestnut Hill. In 1985, another new phase of growth was introduced by expanding and rebuilding.
